David created an atmosphere at camp both rewarding to the children and to the parents. The kids looked forward to each day with great enthusiasm. Our kids were so excited about LUAU week that I had to reschedule a family trip so that they would not miss any part of that exciting week. The award program was another aspect of camp that the kids enjoyed. Awards were given for "nature awareness", "camp spirit", "friendly camper", "special helper" and others. These awards, announced and handed out in front of the entire camp, created a wonderful way for the children to be recognized in a positive manner. At the same time that the kids were having fun, the parents could feel confident that their children were being cared for under a safe and supportive camp environment.
