HALLOWEEN WEEK

HALLOWEEN IN JULY

woooooooooo....

The fun of making haunted houses, trick or treating and dressing up is upon us! Witches, ghouls and goblins beware because we are going to be holding Halloween in the middle of the summer! From creating haunted houses to trick or treating on campus, we're ready for a warm Halloween day!

Don't forget to try our witches brew during lunch!

While we have specific dress-up days, campers are welcome to wear a costume any and every day this week. Please bring an extra change of clothes in a clearly marked bag as it can hot and difficult to participate in many activities wearing a costume. The main dress-up day will be on Thursday for our Trick Or Treating.

Haunted House

Entrance to the 5th Grade Haunted House

MONDAY:

Techno Ball:
2nd - 6th graders have the opportunity to learn and play the Camp Doodles "underground game", Techno Ball. Our multi-purpose room is decked out with a DJ light system and...we can't tell you more!

Capture The Flag:
Need we say more!? Our big grassy field is calling…what’s your strategy going to be?

TUESDAY:

DRESS UP DAY: Color Day

Pick a color and come dressed in that color. Some camper groups may pick a "group color" and try to get everyone dressed in the same color.

Ice Cream Day (~1:30pm - 3:45pm)

Who can resist a delicious ice cream in the middle of the summer - we sure won't! Tuesday afternoon marks our hike to a local Ice Cream Store where we will tempt our taste buds with delectable ice cream flavors.

We leave in small groups after lunch, so please give yourself extra time if you need to pick your child up between 1:30 and 3:45, when all groups will be back on site for our daily slideshow.

If you need to pick your child up early, we are happy to *try* to get them back for you.

BINGO for Prizes:

No signing "Bingo was his name-o" - pull out the prize drawers, grab a bingo card and lets get ready for some fun!

WEDNESDAY:
FIELD TRIP (4th - 6th Grades). Click here for details.

Karaoke Party:
It doesn’t matter if you sound like Hannah Montana or not, because Karaoke is a time for people to come together and have fun singing the songs they know. If you have a song you particularly like, feel free to bring a copy of the CD to camp in case we don’t have that particular one (just remember to take it at the end of the day). Our karaoke machine is hooked up to a screen so you can read the words as you sign along. Very cool! Very fun!

K-6th: Bike Day:
Like most camp activities, your child can decide whether he/she wants to participate in our fun Bike Day. When you come onto campus, and when you leave for the day, please WALK your bike.

K-1st: Ride around on campus ("razor scooters" okay)

2nd-3rd: Short bike trip off campus, probably down the bike path and some side streets.
4th-6th: Off campus trip, possibly into downtown to grab ice cream (there is minimal time on side streets).
All bikers must wear a HELMET and older kids should bring a water bottle for the off-campus trips. Campers participating in the off-campus trips need a bike, NOT A SCOOTER/RAZOR!
Please leave clearly marked bike and helmet outside, near the handball/slaughter backboards. Bikes will not be brought inside the building, so please be sure to pick your bike up at the end of the day!

THURSDAY:

Trick Or Treating Today:
We’ve been busy making Haunted Houses the past couple of days and today we are going to trick or treat and get some delicious candy! The event is about fun and not about candy/sugar - we drastically limit the quantity given out.

DRESS UP DAY: Halloween

Come in your favorite halloween costume, any theme you want. We'll be rocking superheroes, princesses, wizards and samurai's. This is one of our favorite dress up days. Please bring an extra change of clothes in a clearly marked bag as it can hot and difficult to participate in many activities wearing a costume.

Wacky Water Day:
APPROXIMATE TIME: 1:30pm - 3:00
Wacky Water Day is finally here! Water Day is a day to look forward to! Water Days are filled with fun activities ranging from massive water slides to water balloon tosses and games like "splish splish splash" to just running around and being silly in the sprinkler.
Alternate activities will be available for children who do not want to participate or if Mother Nature did not receive our memo regarding water day. However, we recommend that all children bring the items listed below as the fun is often contagious!
TO BRING: A swimsuit (under clothes is preferable), towel and wear sunscreen.
OPTIONAL: Water shoes, a change of clothes, a water pistol.

WATER PISTOL RULES:
Water pistols okay during this time. They should be clearly marked with your child's name and kept in their bags until explicit permission is given by the camp staff to take them out. When permission is given, the camp staff will cordone off a specific area OUTSIDE where water pistols can be used. Anyone using them outside of this area will be asked to return their equipment to their bags and find another activity.
Before arriving at camp, please discuss with your child that the rules regarding water pistols at our camp so everyone can enjoy this fun day, staff included! :-)
