MONDAY:
Techno Ball:
2nd - 6th graders have the opportunity to learn and play the Camp Doodles "underground game", Techno Ball. Our multi-purpose room is decked out with a DJ light system and...we can't tell you more!
Chess Championships:
If you are a chess player, today is your day to shine. We will have the opportunity to play and learn the art of chess.
Nature Hike
Come join us for a walk along Richardson Bay where we will admire our beautiful community while gazing out over the bay to San Francisco.
Eye patches & mustaches for all!
TUESDAY:
Dress Up Day: Pirate
Today is a day where you can dress up like a pirate, a parrot or anything else that reminds you of pirates! You could come as a treasure chest if you wanted!
Ice Cream Day (~1:30pm - 3:45pm) BLIMEY - ICE CREAM ON THE POOP DECK!
Who can resist a delicious ice cream in the middle of the summer - we sure won't! Tuesday afternoon marks our hike to a local Ice Cream Store where we will tempt our taste buds with delectable ice cream flavors.
We leave in small groups after lunch, so please give yourself extra time if you need to pick your child up between 1:30 and 3:45, when all groups will be back on site for our daily slideshow.
If you need to pick your child up early, we are happy to *try* to get them back for you.
Annual Egg Drop:
Do you think you have what it takes to create a really padded, soft environment for a raw egg!?
Today we will open up our supply cabinets so that any interested campers can attempt to create a "safe" container for a precious egg...and then watch as we drop your container (with a raw egg inside!) from the roof of the school.
Past containers have included balloons, Styrofoam, shirts and more...
Come give it a try!
WEDNESDAY:
FIELD TRIP: (4th-6th Grades). Click here for details.
Camper Catch Counselor: SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
Camper Catch Counselor is an activity similar to hide and seek. The counselors hide on campus and the children try to find them.
Karaoke Party:
It doesn’t matter if you sound like Hannah Montana or not, because Karaoke is a time for people to come together and have fun singing the songs they know. If you have a song you particularly like, feel free to bring a copy of the CD to camp in case we don’t have that particular one (just remember to take it at the end of the day). Our karaoke machine is hooked up to a screen so you can read the words as you sign along. Very cool! Very fun!
Bike or RAZOR Scooter DAY (always optional)
Any camper who has a bike or scooter (aka "razor") is welcome to bring it in for an afternoon of biking/skooting around at camp. Remember, if you bring a bike/scooter you MUST remember to bring a helmet. You may want to label your belongings. Sometimes older campers get to ride off campus. When you come onto campus, please walk your bike/scooter.
THURSDAY:
CAPTURE THE BOOTY
Campers will have a chance to venture into enemy territory and try to steal the booty “flag” without having to surrender (getting tagged). Lets hope your not sent to the dungeon!
Wacky Water Day: (Marin only) Lets hope for Fair Winds in the Briny Deep!
APPROXIMATE TIME: 1:30pm - 3:00
Wacky Water Day is finally here!
Water Day is a day to look forward to! Water Days are filled with fun activities ranging from massive water slides to water balloon tosses and games like "splish splish splash" to just running around and being silly in the sprinkler.
Alternate activities will be available for children who do not want to participate or if Mother Nature did not receive our memo regarding water day. However, we recommend that all children bring the items listed below as the fun is often contagious!
TO BRING: A swimsuit (under clothes is preferable), towel and wear sunscreen.
OPTIONAL: Water shoes, a change of clothes.
FRIDAY:
FIELD TRIP: 2nd-6th Grade. Click here for details.
CIT / StAFF LIPSYNC
New to Summer 2010, the Counselors-In-Training and Junior Counselors (and perhaps some paid staff) will perform a lipsync during morning assembly...a great way to start the day.
Dress Up: Twin Day
Everyone dressed up as twins (with at least 2-3 things matching) may earn themselves a dress up day award.
Same shirts (or color shirts), same pants (beige shorts, black pants, etc.), hair styles, hats, etc. Don't forget to match the shoes!
PIRATES & PRISONERS:
Campers will try to avoid getting caught by the pirates lest they become one of them! A Doodles take on extending a version of Sharks and Minnows to a new, fun level.
Hidden Treasure: Begad! It’s a Treasure Hunt! Follow the map and pillage for doubloons!
We've got the Treasure Map. Need we say more?
AWARDS CEREMONY:
Every Friday afternoon, just before checkout is our Awards Ceremony. Our staff give out numerous awards to their campers ranging from "Good Listener" to "Great Camp Attitude" and "Sunscreen Award" to "Spirit Award". This is an event that the campers won't want to miss!
