Your child will gain job-experience, leadership training, receive a certificate of completion of our leadership training program, and benefit greatly from being a part of our positive work environment...it's time to start building your resume!

Part of what makes Camp Doodles & Summer Club so special is that everyone (children, staff & volunteers) looks forward to coming to camp each day. We only accept the many volunteer applicants who want to join our team, not children whose parents try to 'make' them.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under supervision the volunteers assist the camp counselor and director in daily activities for the participants of the day camp program

Volunteers are typically entering 8th-10th graders with some knowledge of games, sports, crafts and basic camp skills...but mainly people who enjoy working with children..  The volunteers provide extra “eyes” to keep a watch on the campers, and mainly help provide the one-on-one attention that all children deserve.

Camp Doodles & Summer Club only seeks volunteers who want to make personal contributions to the community and the children they serve.  Leading children, protecting their safety and helping them grow into worthy adults is challenging and serious work.

Being a staff member is very much like being a parent - the real reward is the knowledge that you have given a big part of yourself to many children and those children will carry that part of you with them for their whole life.

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR:
Camp Doodles & Summer Club is seeking fun volunteers who are ready to have a great time being part of one of the newest, most exciting day camps in Marin.  If you are up to the challenge of being a great role model, coach and youth leader we hope you will consider joining our exceptional staff and quality camp program.  This is a perfect opportunity for students seeking leadership exposure in the field of teaching / education or for people who simply enjoy working with children.  We love working at camp and hope you will join us for what is sure to be a really fun summer!
